Privacy Policy

PulaGo helps entrepreneurs in Botswana register a company and stay tax and licence compliant. To do that we have to collect personal information about you, your company and its directors. This page explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it. Your information is processed under Botswana's Data Protection Act, 2024.

PulaGo is a private company. We are not a government agency and are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to CIPA, BURS or PPRA. You are free to file directly with them yourself.

Who we are

PulaGo is operated as a private business in Botswana. Where this policy says “we” or “us”, it means PulaGo. Where it says “partner firm”, it means an independent law, accounting or company secretarial firm that we appoint to prepare and lodge filings for you.

What we collect

We only collect what a filing or a service actually needs:

  • Contact details — your name, phone number, email address and business name, when you fill in a form on this site, send us a WhatsApp message, use the chat, or respond to one of our ads.
  • Company and officer details — company name, directors, shareholders, shareholdings, addresses and identification details, where these are required to prepare CIPA, BURS or council forms.
  • Documents you upload — such as identity documents and consent forms, where a filing requires them.
  • Usage information — basic analytics and advertising measurement, only if you accept cookies on your first visit. Decline and no analytics or advertising cookies are set.

Why we use it

  • To prepare, check and lodge the filings you have asked us to handle.
  • To contact you about your registration, your compliance deadlines and your account.
  • To take payment and issue invoices and receipts.
  • To improve the service and measure whether our advertising reaches the right people.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for other companies' marketing.

Who we share it with

Only where it is necessary to deliver what you asked for:

  • The relevant authority — CIPA, BURS, PPRA or a local council, when lodging your filing.
  • Your appointed partner firm — the independent professional preparing or lodging your filing, or acting as your company secretary.
  • Service providers who run our systems — hosting and database (Google Firebase), email delivery, and WhatsApp messaging. These providers process data on our instructions.
  • Where the law requires it — for example a lawful request from a regulator or court.

Some of these providers store data on servers outside Botswana. We use established providers with recognised security practices, and we only send them what the service needs.

How long we keep it

We keep records of filings and the documents supporting them for as long as we are required to, and for as long as they may be needed to answer a query about work we did for you. Enquiries that never become clients are kept only while they are still live, and then deleted.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2024 you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete information we no longer have a reason to keep;
  • stop sending you marketing messages; and
  • explain how a decision affecting you was made.

We will not charge you for asking, and we will respond as quickly as we reasonably can. Some records we may be legally required to retain even after a deletion request — if that applies, we will tell you which and why.

Cookies

On your first visit we ask whether you accept cookies. If you decline, no analytics or advertising cookies are set and the site works exactly the same. If you accept, we use them to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser.
